With new construction and exciting things happening on The University of Alabama campus this year, there will be some changes in Gameday parking for the 2010 Football Season.  The University of Alabama is working hard to utilize all available parking for their fans.  While making your travel plans to and from Tuscaloosa, please make special note of all the enhancements and changes in parking from last year.

Public "Reserved" Parking Lot

Want hassle free parking?  Reserve your spot in the 800-plus space paved Soccer Lot located on University Boulevard (across from Arby’s) which has convenient service via the Crimson Ride Transit System to and from the Quad.  The price for a reserved season pass this year is $163.  If you are interested in purchasing a parking space, call Southtix at 1-800-240-2300 or go on-line to www.southtix.com to reserve your space.

FREE PUBLIC PARKING DOWNTOWN

With the stadium expansion and the increased number of fans this year, we have a new area of public parking for gameday and it is FREE OF CHARGE.  This new area is located downtown in and around the Downtown Intermodal Facility parking deck; it is a shorter distance to the stadium than the Soccer Lot on campus.  This parking deck has over 400 spaces and is located on 23rd Avenue between 6th and 7th St., just behind City Hall, between University Blvd and Bryant Dr.  There are many restaurant and shopping options in the areas surrounding the parking deck.  Tuscaloosa Transit will be running 14 buses from this location, starting 3 hours prior to game time.  The cost to ride the bus (per trip):

  • Adults:  $1
  • Children 3 and under:  Free
  • Age 60 or over and people with disabilities: 50 cents

Or take the STADIUM STROLL (less than a 1 mile walk from the parking facility to Bryant Denny Stadium).  Marked pedestrian paths will lead you from the parking facility to the stadium.

In addition, there are many other parking lots and side-street parking spaces that are free of charge near the Intermodal Facility.  You may park there and walk to the bus pick-up or take the Stadium Stroll to Bryant Denny Stadium.

Post game, fans who want to go to the Campus Drive Deck via a bus should go to the west side of the stadium, across Wallace Wade, and board the buses in that location only. These buses will begin running at the end of the third quarter and will continue torun one hour post game.  For more information about services for people with disabilities click here or for a map and explanation of the disability buses click here.

*For safety reasons, once all parking spaces are taken within an area on campus, UA Parking Services may elect to close the area. If sufficient parking spaces re-open, UA Parking Services may re-open the area for additional parking.

*In order to give all fans the same opportunity to park on or around campus, please do not use chairs or other tailgating items to reserve parking spaces. Any unattended items will be considered abandoned and may be removed.
