We are striving to help make your Crimson Tide Gameday tradition even better. To ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable Gameday experience in 2008, the University has made some changes that will be in effect for the upcoming football season. The information below will highlight the enhancements and will be beneficial to all fans participating in the celebration of the Crimson Tide tradition. Roll Tide!!
PUBLIC “RESERVED” PARKING LOT
Want hassle free parking? Reserve your spot in the 800-plus space paved Soccer Lot located on University Boulevard (across from Arby’s) which has convenient service via the Crimson Ride Transit System to and from the Quad. The price for a reserved season pass this year is $111. For a limited time, those that purchased in 2007 will have the opportunity to renew their spot for 2008. Any additional spots left after that will go on sale July 8th, 2008. We will send an email reminder out to all uagameday.com website registered fans before they go on sale. To register for uagameday.com e-mail updates click here. If you are interested in purchasing a parking space, call Southtix at 1-800-240-2300 or go on-line to www.southtix.com to reserve your space.
CHANGES IN PARKING FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES FOR 2008
The University of Alabama provides a limited number of parking spaces for people with disabilities. For people who use a wheelchair, accessible parking is located at the lot on Wallace Wade Ave. (#1 on the www.uagameday.com pregame parking map) and the Communications Card Lot (#2 on the www.uagameday.com pregame parking map). All other parking for people with disabilities is located at the Campus Drive Deck (Campus Drive at Hackberry Lane). We are pleased that we will be able to offer more services at this location and more parking space is available to accommodate the fans. This deck serves at the hub for the Crimson Ride transit system. Restroom facilities are conveniently located in the Campus Drive Deck. Crimson Ride buses will transport fans from this location to the Quad for the festivities there. Transportation to the stadium will begin 3 hours prior to kickoff. Parking is $10 per vehicle and will be collected at the lot. For post-game shuttle, all buses leaving the stadium for the Campus Drive Deck will board on the west side of the stadium on Wallace Wade Drive. Buses will be a combination of small school buses and Crimson Ride buses. Post game, fans who want to go to the Campus Drive Deck via a bus should go to the west side of the stadium, across Wallace Wade, and board the buses in that location only. These buses will begin running at the end of the third quarter and will continue to run one hour post game. For more information about services for people with disabilities click here or for a map and explanation of the disability buses click here.
Please note that it is a Class B misdemeanor to use a disability parking permit unless the person to whom the permit is issued is in the vehicle. State laws will be enforced. Class B misdemeanors are punishable by a fine of $50-$200 and up to 40 hours of community service.
Transportation to and from the north end of Bryant-Denny Stadium is provided for these individuals and their guests beginning two hours and thirty minutes prior to kickoff.
ON CAMPUS PARKING
Due to a landscaping and irrigation project that will occur this summer along University Blvd, there will no longer be parking on the grass at Russell Hall, Farrah Hall or Gallalee Hall. These areas that were formerly used for parking will be landscaped as part of the campus beautification effort. Please note that tailgating is still allowed in these areas.
MOODY MUSIC LOT PARKING
The Moody Music parking lot located on the corner of Bryant Dr. and 2nd Ave. will no longer be used for general public parking. This area will be used for additional Tide Pride parking for the 2008 season and parking for the University of Alabama Million Dollar Band. Parking will be eliminated on the grass berms and grassy areas around this lot. The band practices on the field in this area.

NEW GOLF CART REGULATIONS
Beginning with the 2008 football season, there are new golf cart rules that regulate the types of carts that are allowed on campus. Click here to see the new golf cart regulations for 2008.
The university will not have any designated parking for golf carts. Golf Carts will also be subject to the same parking and towing rules and regulations if found to be obstructing sidewalks, ramps and pedestrian right of ways or parked in a manner deemed unsafe by the university.
BRYANT DRIVE CONSTRUCTION
There may be ongoing street construction on Bryant Drive throughout the 2008 football season. Any necessary detours that are due to construction will be posted on the web site and on the traffic and parking map prior to the applicable home game.
Also, a City of Tuscaloosa beautification project is underway on Bryant Drive. Please be respectful of the new plantings around Tutwiler Hall, the Triangle Lot, the cemetery, and between Burke west and Barnwell.

RESERVE TAILGATE SPACES (SOLD OUT)
After the success of the reserved tents that were introduced in 2007, we have added several more reserved tent spaces for the 2008 season. Click here to see a map of the Quad showing the locations of the two new reserved areas on the Quad. By reserving a space in these new areas, you will receive the same reserved space for all seven home games, one vehicle parking pass for a nearby parking lot, electricity for your space and one 10x10 tent. Most spaces have enough room for at least three 10x10 tents. The price for reserving all of these amenities on Gameday is $729 for the entire season. These spaces will go on sale on July 8th, 2008. The University of Alabama has contracted with www.gamedaytents.com to set-up the spaces on the Quad. For a limited time, those that purchased in 2007 will have the opportunity to renew their space for 2008. Remaining spaces will be shown with the new areas as available for reservation. LIGHT POLES ON THE QUAD
When you visit campus for the 2008 season, you will notice the light poles on the Quad have a number located on the top of the pole which serves as an identifier for the location on the Quad that you are in. This numbering system will help provide information on where someone is located within the Quad. To see the map, click here.
ELECTRICITY ON THE QUAD
There will be an enhanced power supply provided to the reserved tents on the Quad this coming season. As such, it should relieve some of the strain put on the electrical power supplied through the light poles on the northern half of the Quad. However, the rules still remain for proper usage of the power on the light poles. The use of power strips and multiple plugs on each light pole is prohibited as it will put a strain on the power supply from that pole resulting in a breaker trip. Only one hook-up per plug is allowed. You may hook-up a power strip, to prevent damage from possible surges, but only one thing may be plugged into it.
EVENT EMERGENCY PLAN
The University has adopted a new campus emergency plan in case of any emergency situations occurring during an event on campus. In the event of a weather emergency or other emergency on campus, those tailgating on the Quad and around campus will be instructed through a loud speaker system where they can seek shelter. Please follow the directions of the University staff.
